The Minnesota Pit Bull Rescue was founded in 2009. The rescue relies on foster homes to keep pit bulls in their area safe and off the streets or in local kill shelters. The rescue does not have a facility and relies on foster parents to keep these dogs safe. The fosters work at house training and obedience training so that the dogs are ready for their forever home.
The rescue operates solely on donations from their partners and generous citizens. The rescue maintains an Amazon wish list that includes dog toys, Frontline, treats, leashes, collars, vitamins and supplements, crates and dog food. They also accept monetary donates that go for medical bills, training and overall care. You can even sponsor a dog.
Just because the available dogs are in foster care, that doesn’t mean that the rescue doesn’t need help caring for these dogs. Each foster parent receives the help and items to ensure that the dogs are cared for properly.
The Minnesota Pit Bull Rescue travels to adoption events in Minneapolis, Edina, Blaine and other cities in Minnesota. Check their Facebook page for an updated list of events.
