Pit Bull Happenings Rescue – Florida Pit Bull Rescue

pit-bull-happenings-rescueEric Emminger founded Pit Bull Happenings Rescue in 2010 after working with other local rescues for two years.

Emminger’s love for the American Pit Bull breed and his own rescued Pit Bull drove him to help other stray, abused and neglected Pit Bulls throughout Florida.

The rescue is headquartered in Pasco County, Florida, but they save dogs throughout the state. And, they adopt dogs throughout the entire state, excluding Miami-Dade County, which has a ban on pit bulls.

All of the dogs that are adopted through the rescue are spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and  tested for heartworms. If a dog is positive for heartworms, they will treat the dog. They also cover all pre-existing conditions that they are aware of.

Pit Bull Happenings Rescue is involved in various educational and adoption events, so make sure to check out their calendar so you can visit them at their next outing.

Because the rescue is operated on donations, please try to donate to help with operating costs, vet care, food and supplies. If you’d rather donate supplies, check out the rescue’s wishlist; they are always in need of cleaning supplies, grooming supplies, treats and food, medical supplies, blankets, office supplies and more.

If you’re interested in fostering a dog at the rescue, fill out their dog foster form, or if you live in the state of Florida and want to adopt a dog, fill out their dog adoption form.
